1. Promoter
This competition is promoted by The Wainwright Prize (“the Promoter”).

2. Eligibility
The competition is open to entrants aged 18 years or over who are residents of the UK.

To enter, participants must:

– Like the competition post on the Wainwright Prize Instagram account.
– Comment on the competition post.
– Be following @wainwrightprize and @elmleynature on Instagram at the time of entry and when the winner is selected.

Only genuine entries from Instagram accounts belonging to the entrant will be accepted. The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility.

3. How to enter
To enter, participants must complete all of the requirements listed above on the designated competition post on the Wainwright Prize Instagram account.

Entries submitted after the closing date and time will not be accepted.

Competition closes: 22.10.26 at 17:00 BST.

There is one entry per person. Multiple comments or entries from the same person may be disregarded.

4. The prize
One winner will receive:

– A one-night stay for two people in a Shepherd’s Hut or Cabin at Elmley Nature Reserve.
– Two places on a walking wildlife tour at Elmley Nature Reserve.
– A bundle of nature books.
– Two tickets to the 2027 Wainwright Prize winners’ ceremony, subject to the event taking place and availability.

The accommodation and wildlife tour prize has an approximate value of £310.

The value of the books and ceremony tickets is additional.

The accommodation stay and wildlife tour are subject to Elmley Nature Reserve’s availability and standard booking terms and conditions.

5. Elmley stay and wildlife tour terms
The accommodation prize entitles the winner to one mid-week night for two guests in a Shepherd’s Hut or Cabin at Elmley Nature Reserve, together with two places on a walking wildlife tour.

The stay must be redeemed by 22.04.26, which is six months from the date of the competition/event.

The stay is valid for Sunday to Thursday nights inclusive and cannot be used on public or bank holiday dates.

The wildlife tour may be booked for the same date as the accommodation or on a separate date, but the same redemption deadline applies.

The winner is responsible for making their own travel arrangements to and from Elmley Nature Reserve.

Food, drink, additional nights and any additional experiences, activities or treatments are not included in the prize and must be booked and paid for separately by the winner.

To arrange the stay, the winner must contact Elmley Nature Reserve at stay@elmleynaturereserve.co.uk or 07930 847520, quoting the prize voucher reference number.

Once the prize has been redeemed, Elmley Nature Reserve’s standard accommodation and wildlife tour booking terms and conditions will apply.

6. Winner selection
The winner will be selected by a random draw from all eligible entries after the competition closes.

The Promoter’s decision is final in relation to the competition.

7. Contacting the winner
The winner will be contacted via Instagram direct message from the official @wainwrightprize account within 1 week of the competition closing.

The winner must respond within 7 days of being contacted. If the winner does not respond within this period, or is found not to meet the eligibility requirements, the Promoter reserves the right to select another eligible winner.

The Promoter will never ask the winner for passwords, payment details or fees in order to claim the prize.

8. Prize conditions
The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash or alternative prize available.

The prize must be taken by the winner and one guest, and the accommodation and wildlife tour cannot be exchanged for cash or another date outside the stated validity period.

The 2027 Wainwright Prize ceremony tickets are subject to the date, location and availability of the 2027 event and cannot be exchanged for cash.

9. Instagram
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.

By entering this competition, participants acknowledge that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Instagram.

10. General
The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the competition where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it believes does not comply with these Terms & Conditions or that is fraudulent, abusive or otherwise inappropriate.

By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

11. Privacy
Any personal information provided by entrants will be used only for the purposes of administering the competition and contacting the winner, in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
