CONOR BUSUTTIL is a children’s picture book illustrator and a lover of all things nature. Growing up in a small country village on the Strangford Lough coast in County Down, he spent many a day exploring the marshy farmlands for tadpoles and newts, and the rocky coastline in search of the mysterious creatures the tide left behind in its seaweedy pools.
His works include Blue Peter’s ‘Here Be Dragons’ competition exhibition, featured in Kew Gardens. He has worked closely with Hampton Court Palace to produce a digital story ‘The King of the Beasts’. He also illustrated The Children of Lir, written by Laura Ruth Maher, and Ulster Fairytales and Legends, written by Nicola & Peter Heaney.
