Following an ADHD diagnosis in his thirties, Joe Harkness investigates his lifelong bond with nature, drawing on conversations with neurodivergent people in nature-based roles to offer a fresh perspective on biodiversity, inclusion, and what more supportive environments might look like.

About Joe Harkness

Joe Harkness is a naturalist and writer from Norfolk. He has written features for many publications, including The GuardianiNews, BBC Wildlife and Birdwatching. He has also shared his passion for nature on TV shows and radio such as Winterwatch and BBC Radio 4. Joe works in education and currently oversees a sixth form for young people with complex needs.
