My Wainwright Pledge Prize Draw Terms & Conditions
1. The Promoter
Promoter: Agile Ideas, trading as The Wainwright Prize. Contact: info@agile-ideas.com. Full postal address available on request.
2. How to Enter
2.1 To enter, participants must make a pledge in support of nature and the environment, and share it publicly using the hashtag #MyWainwrightPledge (and tagging @WainwrightPrize where possible), on one of the following social channels: Instagram / TikTok / X / BlueSky / Facebook. A pledge can be shared in any of the following ways: (a) using an official Wainwright Prize bookmark, available from participating bookshops and libraries. (b) using an official digital pledge asset, downloaded or screenshotted from the Wainwright Prize social channels or the Wainwright Prize Linktree. (c) a handmade version of the bookmark or pledge card, made in the spirit of the official design, where official bookmarks are unavailable. (d) a photo or video of the entrant making their pledge without using a bookmark or digital asset at all. All formats are equally eligible to win.
2.2 Entrants who do not have a public social media profile may still enter by sharing their pledge to their private profile and sending it directly to the Promoter as a direct message on the same platform, using one of the official Wainwright Prize accounts: @WainwrightPrize. The Promoter is not responsible for entries sent to the wrong account or platform, or for messages that are not seen due to platform message-request filters.
2.3 The entry period opens at 10am on 5th August and closes at 6pm on 5th October. Entries received outside this window will not be considered.
2.4 Entrants may submit more than one pledge, provided each entry reflects a different, distinct pledge. Entries that are duplicates, substantially similar, or repeats of a pledge already submitted by the same entrant will not be counted, and the Promoter’s decision on what constitutes a duplicate is final.
2.5 Following the close of the entry period, the Promoter will compile a list of all valid entries received across the eligible social channels (clause 2.1) and via direct message (clause 2.2), by searching #MyWainwrightPledge on each platform individually and reviewing tagged posts. The number of winners set out for each prize tier in clause 4.1 will then be selected at random from this list, with no entrant able to win more than one prize. Where a winning entry is found to be invalid or ineligible, a new winner will be selected at random from the remaining valid entries, in accordance with clause 4.7.
3. Eligibility
3.1 The competition is open to residents of the UK and Ireland only. We’d love to see nature pledges from anywhere in the world — but only entries from UK and Ireland residents are eligible for the prize.
3.2 Entrants must be aged 18 or over to enter directly.
3.3 Entrants aged under 18 may enter with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Where an entry includes a photo or video of a child, the pledge must be posted by the parent or legal guardian from their own account (or submitted via the direct message route in clause 2.2), and by submitting the entry, the parent or legal guardian confirms that: (a) they are the parent or legal guardian of the child shown or named in the entry; (b) they consent to the child’s participation in the competition; (c) they consent, on the child’s behalf, to the Promoter’s use of the entry as set out in clause 5 (Rights and Usage). Entries involving a child that are posted by the child themselves, without a parent or guardian’s account, consent or involvement, will not be accepted.
3.4 No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
3.5 Employees (and their immediate families) of Agile Ideas, the Wainwright Prize, judges of the Wainwright Prize and Children’s Wainwright Prize, shortlistees and anyone else professionally connected with the competition, are welcome to make and share a nature pledge using #MyWainwrightPledge, but are not eligible to be entered into the prize draw or to win a prize.

(d) The holiday prize will be booked directly between the winner and Wheatland Farm.
4.7 If a winner does not respond within 14 days of notification (see 4.4), or is found ineligible under clause 4.8, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner in accordance with the random-selection method set out in clause 2.5.
4.8 Winners may be asked to provide reasonable proof of eligibility before a prize is released, including confirmation of UK/Ireland residency (clause 3.1) and, where applicable, confirmation of parental or guardian consent (clause 3.3). If a winner is unable to provide this, or is found to be ineligible, the Promoter reserves the right to withhold the prize and select an alternative winner in accordance with clause 4.7.

6.2 This data will be used only to administer the competition and deliver the prize, and will not be used for any other purpose without the entrant’s separate consent.
