We currently collect and process the following information

Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, contact name, email address, postal address, phone number) If you enter the #MyWainwrightPledge competition, the information set out in the competition’s terms and conditions, including for winners a postal or email address for prize delivery.

We only collect and use your personal information when we have a legitimate reason for doing so. In which instance, we only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services to you.

How we get the personal information and why we have it 

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Corresponding with us via post, phone or email
  • You sign up to our email newsletter via our website
  • You register on our website or submit an entry to the Wainwright Prize or the Children’s Wainwright Prize
  • You enter the #MyWainwrightPledge competition, in accordance with its terms and conditions, which set out how entries (including from entrants under 18, via a parent or guardian) are collected and used

 

We use the information that you have given us in order to:

  • Provide you with our services
  • Administer competition entries, select and notify winners, and deliver prizes
  • Notify you of changes to our rules or services
  • Send you communications which may be of interest to you, if you have opted in to our newsletter

Where we use a third-party platform to manage our email newsletter (currently, or in future, this may include Brevo), that platform processes your email address on our behalf solely to send you newsletter communications, in accordance with their own privacy and security policies.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: (a) We have a legitimate business interest (b) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. Your information is securely stored.
